KAHRAMAA with its intention of attaining the best international practices in supplying and distributing power to the country is getting acquainted to innovative technology and new know-how in the same field to improve itself.
 With this trend and context of imbibing technology and methodology from similar major international companies operating in the sphere of power, water transmission and distribution, and also to activate the memorandum of understanding signed by Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" and CHUBU Company, Japan, a team of KAHRAMAA delegation visited Chubu Company.

The delegation was chaired by His Excellency Issa Shaheen Al-Ghanim, the Vice Chairman of "KAHRAMAA" and comprised of Engineer Essa Hilal Al-Kuwari, Electricity Network Affairs Director, Engineer Ahmed Al Abdulla, Technical Affairs Director, Engineer Ahmed Ali Al-Mohannadi, Customer Services Manager and Engineer Nasser Ali Al-Mohannadi, Public Relations Department manager and Saif Mohamed Al-Naimi, Protocol Officer at the Public Relations Department as members of the delegation.

H.E. the Vice Chairman of KAHRAMAA met the Vice President of CHUBU Company .The two senior officials discussed areas of technical cooperation between the two companies. The senior Engineers of both companies also held technical meetings to explore area of cooperation related to electricity sector management, networks control, engineering, technical and customer services issues.
During the visits, working sessions were convened with the senior officials of the company. The delegation also visited the nuclear power generation station, the main control centre and the underground power station. A tour of the Customers Services Department was also made during the visit.

Knowledge and expertise:
H.E. the Vice Chairman of KAHRAMAA said that the visit to Chubu was part of a bilateral cooperation to strengthen strategic alliances. He also said that the visit was to share knowledge and expertise as part of the company’s strategy in working with international corporations. HE, the Vice Chairman also added that KAHRAMAA’s scope of interest in the meeting was to share expertise on Electricity Networks, Control Centre, Electricity systems and Customer Services.

Bilateral ties:
H.E., The Vice Chairman said that, KAHRAMAA with the intention of strengthening bilateral ties, sharing expertise, and to promote mega projects of KAHRAMAA, would meet with International companies from South Korea and Japan in order to attract more companies to be part of the company’s strategic projects and networks expansion.

Technical support:
During the delegation's visit,, Engineer Essa Hilal Al- Kuwari, Electricity Network Affairs Director, stated:" This visit is meant to get acquainted with Chubu company's experiences in  providing technical support in planning studies and customers services fields in addition to methods of projects execution.

"Such informative visits will serve to give us an insight into any problems we may encounter in our operation procedures and it will also highlight our advantages in the field of power and water generation", added Eng Al-Kuwari.

The visit was extremely beneficial during which we were acquainted with modern means to manage electricity stations, Eng. Al-Kuwari concluded.

Engineer Ahmed Ali Al-Mohannadi, Customers Services Manager said:  “The visit was an extremely good one in all aspects. We visited the Customers Services Centre at Chubu Company and made a comparison between the services we provide to customers with services they offer. We were immensely satisfied to note that the services we avail are not less than the ones that they offer their customers."
