Within the framework of mutual and information exchange between governmental firms and corporations, a delegation from plant tissues laboratory Section of Agrarian Researches Department, Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture visited Kahramaa's Water Laboratory to view the techniques applied at water laboratory, its performance in addition to analysis state-of-the-art apparatus the laboratory is equipped with.
Mr. Mohamed Ali Al Mohannadi, Laboratory Section Head, presented a detailed explanation on the laboratory's tasks together with apparatus used in water analysis. He explained procedures through which water samples are collected, and stage such samples to ensure that water distributed by Kahramaa is safe and it complies with criteria approved by both the country and Worlds Health Organization. Then a tour has been made inside the Laboratory wherein laboratory employees have introduced a complete presentation of the apparatus used such as GC-MS, IC-MS, ICP-MS and others.
On the occasions of such visit, Mr. Mohamed Al Mohannadi said; "We welcome our colleagues on their first visit to Kahramaa new laboratory. Such visit comes to be within the context of mutual cooperation among the country's firms and corporations, in addition to exchange of information and experiences."
Al Mohannadi added, "Objectives of such visit has been to review procedures approved by Kahramaa with respect to water samples collection and analysis. Also, to get acquainted with modern apparatus we use at Kahramaa Laboratory."
On her part, Mrs. Salwa Desmal Al Kuwari, Plant Tissues Laboratory Section Head, said; "Laboratory Section of the ministry of Municipality and Agriculture, pays regular field tours to laboratories available through out the country to view the latest developments in such field, exchange of information's and experiences between us and other entities."
Mrs. Salwa Desmal Al Kuwari confirmed; "This is the first visit to Kahramaa laboratory. The coordination and organization in work procedures reflect a great effort exerted by those in change. They are greatly appreciated for such effort. The modern apparatus used at the laboratory prove that Kahramaa is keen to develop and update its work''. At the end, Mrs. Salwa Al Kuwari has expressed her most thanks and appreciation for the welcome she and the accompanied delegation received during the visit. In addition, she thanked Head of Water laboratory Section for the Explanation he has presented during the visit.
It is worth mentioning that Kahramaa Water Laboratory has been one of the projects which H.E. Abdulla Bin Hamad Al Attiyah, the Second Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Energy and Industry and Kahramaa Chairman has launched in the late November 2005. The Laboratory's installation's and new apparatus cost has reached 2,64 Million QR.
