Under the patronage of H.E. Issa Al Ghanim Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation Vice Chairman, Qatar University (QU) Electric Engineering Section Graduates annual party was given on Tuesday 18th April 2006, at one of the major hotels in Doha. Engineer Issa Hilal Al Kuwari Director of Electricity Networks Affairs, attended the party on behalf of the H.E. Al Ghanim with  a delegation comprising Kahramaa directors, mangers and employees (graduated from Electrical Engineering Section, Qatar University). A group of QU Electrical Engineering Section's professors and students attended the party. This party has come to be one of the efforts paid by Kahramaa to get Qatar University students be acquainted with type of the electrical engineer's task at Kahramaa in addition to job opportunities available at the corporation.
     On behalf of H.E. Issa shaheen Al Ghanim, the KM Vice Chairman, Eng. Issa Hilal Al Kuwari Electricity Networks Affairs Manager has delivered a speech wherein he has welcomed Electrical Engineering Section's students at QU together with the attendees. He expressed his thanks and appreciation to QU for availing such opportunity to meet an important sector of its graduates and students.
     He also pointed out the complementary role between QU and Kahramaa in the country's economic and architectural development. He referred to the effective role played by the Engineer at Kahramaa based on the fact that he occupies the most important part in the corporation. He also referred to the most important departments at the corporation such as Electricity Networks Affairs, Technical Affairs and others; which Electrical Engineering Section students' can join at Kahramaa.
     Eng. Al Kuwari concluded his speech by encouraging Qatari graduates to join Kahramaa where several job opportunities are available. In addition to training and developing programs for engineering newly graduated to qualify and provide them with experience required to work at different sectors at Kahramaa whether the administration, technical or operational ones.
     Also, Dr. Mazen Hasna, Head of Electrical Engineering Section at QU has given a speech at the party when he referred to the importance of communication between graduates and Electrical Engineering Section. He assured the necessity for them to let the faculty recognize the problems they might envisage while at work. At the end, he expressed Kahramaa his appreciation for its patronizing such party through which they might be familiar with their work in such vital sector wishing them all success in their future practical and scientific life.
     Then Dr. Mohamed Shahedi, Head of Electrical Engineering Section at Illinois Institute, USA gave a lecture on the modern trends in electricity sector formation where he explained the American experiments in restructuring electricity sector.
     At the end of the party, a discussion panel between all attendees opened and it was an opportunity for the university students to meet their colleagues from Kahramaa, who have been graduated from QU earlier.They got acquainted with the corporation's achievements considering the fact that Kahramaa gives a special attention to Qatari graduates, supervisors their training, qualify them and let them have the experience required within the scope of work.
