PWRC Receives ADRD Team At KAHRAMAA Headquarter

 

          HE Issa Shaheen Al-Ghanim, Chairman of Permanent Water Resources Committee (PWRC), received at his office at KAHRAMAA a team from Ministry of Municipality Affairs and Agriculture headed by HE Sheikh Dr. Faleh Bin Nasser Bin Ahmed, Agricultural Development and Researches Department (ADRD) Director and chairman of the Permanent Farms and Wells and Farmers Affairs Organization Committee accompanied with members of the PWRC, Mr. Fahad Al-Mohannadi, Electricity and Water Company Manager, Eng. Mr. Khalid Al-Mansouri, Water Network Affairs Director at KAHRAMAA, Mr. Jaber Ali Al-Mohannadi, Drainage Department Manager at Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, Mr. Muteb Ali Al-Kubaissi representative of the Supreme Council of Environment and Natural Reserves, Dr. Saleh Mohammed Al-Nabit, representative of the Committee's Planning Council, Mr. Ali Hamad Al-Sulaiti, Legal Affairs Department Manger at KAHRAMAA and PWRC's secretary, in addition to representatives from Agricultural Reserches and Development Department, Mr. Abdul-Aziz Ali Al-Muraikhi, Head of Water Research Section , Dr. Kamel Mustafa Amer, Water Resources Expert at Agricultural Researches and Development Department and Dr. Mohammed Imad Raouf member of the Technical Consulting Group.

The meeting was held upon the Agricultural Researches and  Development Department request to present coordination and cooperation fields with the Permanent Water Research Development Committee and discuss some issues of mutual interest headed by groundwater resources preservation.

Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Muraikhi, Head of Water Research Section during the meeting presented the general vision and improvement of ground water resources preservation and development strategy in Qatar which included a number of procedures and recommendations which help protecting and maintaining the groundwater storage in Qatar.

The Permanent Water Resources Committee presided by HE Issa Al-Ghanim has communicated the responsible authorities and entities in the country to produce support and sustenance required for the technical consultant contracted with to develop water resources strategy in Qatar through providing data and information needed to complete components of such study.

During the meeting HE Issa Al-Ghanim, Permanent Water Resources Committee Chairman, praised the Agricultural Researches & Development Department to take the initiative request to hold such meeting and expressed his appreciation to the extended effort paid in producing the general vision and improvement of ground water resources preservation and development strategy in Qatar as a term of the positive contribution consistent with plans and schemes of Permanent Water Resources Committee to achieve Water Resources strategy in Qatar.
