KAHRAMAA Participates in The GCC Cigre 15th Seminar and Exhibition in Abu Dhabi
 

          Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation "KAHRAMAA" participated in the 15th seminar of GCC Cigre and the associated 11th Exhibition held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates under the patronage H.E. Mr./ Mohammed Bin Dhaen  Al-Hamli, Minister of Energy in UAE on Wednesday 29th-30th of November, 2006 that apprehended by The Electrical Systems Regional Committee in GCC States (GCC–Cigre) under the title "Restructuring of Electricity Sector".

KAHRAMAA presented a number of presentations of engineers titled "Toward Energy Trading in a Competitive GCC Electricity Market", another presentation about "Reactive Power Management & Local VAR Ancillary Market", and the third one titled "Advanced Planning Tools for Managing a Dynamic Interconnected Power System in A Liberalised Electricity Market", in addition to a presentation about "Power Quality in a Restructured Competitive Electricity Industry" and a presentation about "Performance of the Control Centers in the Deregulated Power Systems".

Moreover, KAHRAMAA took part in the 11th exhibition associated with the Seminar which included documentary multimedia presentation about electricity and water sector in Qatar. A display of "KAHRAMAA" mission and objectives had also been presented besides special printed brochures concerning restructuring and privatization of both electricity and water sectors in Qatar particularly KAHRAMAA. Also, a number of illustrative pamphlets and releases, related to the rationalization of electricity and water consumption, which have been printed precisely for this Seminar have been  distributed together with the souvenirs among visitors.

It is worth mentioning that KAHRAMAA has also shared in the 14th Seminar held in the State of Kuwait between 1-2 Dec. 2004 when the GCC Technical Committee Awarded The Seminar's Best Paper Prize for 2004 for Eng. Mr. Essa Hilal Al-Kuwari from Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation – Qatar.
